Hello Team!
As you may know, we having been working with the Museum of Craft and Design to bring fun and crafty programs to you and our San Francisco community. As part of that program, we are going to begin to offer, longer, more in-depth classes that build on the Thursday craft nights.

The first of these programs is going to be a sewing class and it's happening THIS SATURDAY (March 1)! We will be learning to make this fun box bag. This bag can be used to carry your toiletries or other small personal items, It also makes a great gift :) You will be making these for everyone you know!

We are so excited about this opportunity. We've partnered with Rickshaw Bagworks and they have generously provided the fabric for this class. Check out all these awesome colors you can choose from to make your bag!

This class will cover many basic sewing techniques such as: winding a bobbin, threading the machine, using the iron to secure your stitches, measuring and pinning fabric. We will also cover some more advanced techniques such as: inserting a zipper WITHOUT a zipper foot and boxing corners of a bag.

Since the class will be very limited in size, you will have hands-on, personal instruction and be able to really dig in and ask questions about your project and trouble shoot any issues. The goal for this class is that you will walk away feeling really confident in sewing and inserting a zipper and you can apply this knowledge to many projects to come.

We also still have the privilege of using our beautiful Bernina sewing machines that are on loan from Eddie's Quilting Bee. At the class, a coupon will be available if you would like to purchase a machine.

I hope to see you there! Sign up here!
