Our team community is growing and growing. As we grow, it's even more important for us to continue to learn from one another. Business Groups are a great way to create long lasting connections with other members as well as learn new ways to elevate your Etsy shop. Last week, the NEW SF Etsy Business Group had their very first meeting.
The Business Group is an ongoing group for SF Etsy members and meets once a month. The purpose of the group is to learn and share business knowledge to improve our Etsy shop, online and offline - as well as create a supportive network of other SF Etsy businesses.
Korie of Seaglass Reinvented presented on the topic.
Imelda of Sunset Shutterbug was the gracious host
Eko of Eko Jewelry Design helped organize the event.
Also in attendance: Teri of The Curious Potter and Conor of San Francisco Terrain.
The subject of the first meeting was about SEO, or search engine optimization.
Here are some highlights from the meeting:
* Determine your Keywords - using Google Adwords and Google Insight for Search
* Discover Etsy suggested keywords and incorporate them
* Incorporate your Keywords into your Titles, Tags and Descriptions
* Make any changes to your shop slowly, to be able to determine if your traffic improved as a result
For more information about SEO, Korie posted the full details from the meeting on her blog: http://seaglassreinvented.blogspot.com/2012/04/seo-for-etsy-and-google.html
