Thanks to those of you that came out and participated in our workshop over the weekend at Rickshaw Bags in the Dogpatch!
We had a blast! Founder and CEO, Mark Dwight, gave us a tour of the factory and some history of how and why he decided to start his own business as well as what it takes to maintain production for his small factory. Here are a few photos of our tour (Thanks to Imelda from SunsetShutterbug for the photos!):

At the end of the tour, we talked about how to design and make your own custom flap for the design contest. Mark and store manager, Kendall, provided us with a traceable template for the flap pattern. If you want to participate and can't make it to the next workshop on Thursday, April 24th from 2:30p - 4:30p (sign up here) - Feel free to swing by Rickshaw Bags (address: 904 22nd Street – San Francisco, CA Right next to 22nd Street Cal Train Station) and trace your template anytime during their regular hours.
I hope to see you all there next Thursday!!
