Featured Shop - Muddipuppy

Muddipuppy is one of our newest members. Opened in July, they
already boast a cool 21 sales in the less than two months open. At this point the store is selling strictly cards & postcards. I can't wait to see what they will have instore for us as they grow on etsy.
We recently had a chat with Amberlin, the brains behind Muddipuppy, and asked her to tell us a little bit about her new endevor.

"I grew up with paint, yarn, sidewalk chalk, and basically every craft item you could ever imagine all around me. My mom is an artist as well as the most creative person on earth, so whenever there wasn’t something to do, that’s what we did – made stuff. I have continued to make stuff for all of my life. Jack of many media, master of none, I simply make art because it’s good for me.

I opened Papaya Moon only a month ago with the encouragement of one of my artist friends. “You need to get this stuff out there, “ she said. I never have and so I thought, well, maybe I should. Papaya Moon presents a set of my more whimsical art – the stuff that makes me grin and feel good. I’ve printed some of my pieces up as cards as I am a bit of a card nut. There are also cards made of cloth, because I am crazy about fabric. Lastly, there have been a good number of magnets made from my photos, but it’s time to make some new ones.

I am inspired by artists and their work, which is why I was instantly swept up into etsy land. I think I’ve visited the site more than once a day since I first heard about it. It amazes me to see what people can make. I find it magical that given the same basic materials, each of us would make something unique and different that captures maybe a small glimmer of who we are. I had an art teacher tell the class once, “Each of you has a series of work that only you can make in this life time. If you don’t make it, it will never exist. It’s up to you to decide how much of it you want to make.” I love that.

So thank you fellow etsians, for creating a little pocket on this planet for a papaya moon.
There’s a little promotional offering at The Moon right now as a bit of a thank you."
