Gourd Artist and SF Etsy member Cyndee Newick will be participating in Silicon Valley Open Studios with some other talented artists.
Please stop by and visit the Dry Creek Artist Studio in Campbell, near
the Pruneyard Shopping Center, May 1st and 2nd. Featured are gourd
artists, Jo Cooley and Cyndee Newick, Silk Painter, Carolina Mueller,
Fiber Artist, Blanche Prior and the well known watercolor painter, Bob
Newick.
Jo Cooley creates whimsical gourd sculptures and figures and currently
has a large number of imaginative birds. Cyndee Newick has gourd
vessels, corn dolls and birdhouses inspired by southwestern indian art
and nature. Bob Newick is an award winning plein air watercolor
painter, known for landscapes, figures and antique farm equipment and
fire engines. Carolina Mueller creates beautiful, vibrant silk
paintings and Blanche Prior creates beautiful silk scarfs and has
recently been exploring mixed media, quilted fiber arts.
The studio is located at 876 Dry Creek Road, near the corner of Dry
Creek and Union Avenue in Campbell. Hours 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Enjoy art,
demonstrations and refreshments.
And SF Etsy member Rachel Tirosh of Mixsome says, "I'm doing my open studio this year with 2 other friends. We call it "A Show of Our Own", an independent Open Studio Exhibit. We will have oil paintings, collages, one-of-a-kind artisan pieces and photography. Shop for fine art, home décor, cards and gifts of all kinds. Take a look and find something unique!"
