The Local List: Upcoming Holiday Craft Events
Hi All! Here are some upcoming holiday listings happening in November and December that you may be interested in applying for. Lots of holiday events are being posted now and I am doing my best to keep up to date with them.
If you want the latest scoop on upcoming events, your best bet is to check out SF's Bazaar Bizarre's Blog page. This is where I find most of my event info.
I am also trying to post events that have reasonable vendor fees. Any events with higher fees( in the range of $250-$400) I will most likely not post about, unless they are common craft events like Bazaar Bizarre or Renegade.

BDW does, however, as all of their events are very well supported in the community, so I know it will do well. We will also be doing a lot of advertising to pull in folks from outside the community. This is BDW's website: http://www.brisbanedance.com/. We are also looking for DIY/tutorial booths for this event as well, so if there are any craft supply vendors who would like to put on a needle felting, jewelry making, etc. DIY booth, please apply. This show will also have roving carollers from the voice classes and we are brainstorming ideas to work in performances from the theater and dance classes. We really want to make this a fun holiday family event and plan to continue this annually. So, it's a great show to get in on the ground floor.

The event has been very popular and attendance last year was estimated at 4000 – 5000. There will be repeat visitors and a lot of advertising as well in local print media and radio announcements. The event is listed at many online “Events” sites and you can help get the word out at your shows and via Facebook, Twitter or however you keep in contact with your customers, friends and family. 10,000 color postcards are being printed to promote the show………You will each get a packet of postcards to hand out at your summer shows and to your existing customers, etc. About 5000 postcards will go out as an insert in the local newspaper the Wednesday before the event to communities around the area. This is a very effective way to invite new people to come. Cost for 10’ x 10’ space is $100 postmarked before Sept 1 or $125 postmarked after Sept 1. You can post-date your check and I will deposit it in September. Each vendor will provided their own 10’ x 10’ canopy, tables, table coverings and chairs, etc. To reserve your space, please return the registration form with your check. Jewelry is by far the most popular category and fills up quickly.
